Decided to take the detector down to my wife's families cabin located near Crete, Nebraska. The area is quite old, early 1900's or so but I came across of my best finds yet, an 1875 silver seated liberty dime. I couldn't believe what I was pulling out of the ground, although the coin is quite worn but I was still as excited as could be. It was about 6 inches down between 2 very old oak trees. I'm guessing there must have been an old farm stead in the area previous to the cabins being built, also found a couple 1940's Wheaties and a real neat button with the letter "P" on it. The 1875 seated liberty is my oldest and neatest find to date.
Awesome find on day out with family!!
